I'm a software engineer by trade, although the definition of one is getting flimsier. Raw code output feels less of a constraint and more of a fluid material these days. Software is getting "softer" I guess.

When software was less soft, I was lucky enough to build a few things:

• distributed systems for supply chain optimization (Amazon)
• remote desktop management applications (Teradici, acquired by HP)
• financial models for public equity investors (Canalyst, acquired by Tegus)
• ad-matching simulations (UBC, under Prof. Gene Moo Lee)
